West Michigan Partnership for Children (WMPC) is an intermediary organization that collaborates with foster care agencies to support children and families in Kent County, Michigan. As a new organization, WMPC was seeking ways to better fit the needs of its clients and employees. Khamai Strategies supported WMPC in restructuring its staff organization by conducting a comprehensive needs assessment with leadership and internal staff.
Key Deliverables
Conducted comprehensive needs assessments through one-on-one sessions and a survey with WMPC leadership and internal staff to gather insights on the organization's current staff structure, roles, and challenges.
Completed a SWOT analysis to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in WMPC’s staff organization and service delivery.
Held listening sessions with partner organizations to Gather feedback on how WMPC, as an intermediary organization, could better support partner organizations and streamline foster care services.
Facilitated two strategy sessions as Decision Sprints focused on identifying solutions for collaboration between WMPC’s two main departments, emphasizing reducing duplicative efforts, improving communication, and enhancing interdepartmental cooperation.
Conducted a detailed time analysis to assess current time allocation and identify opportunities for increased efficiency within WMPC’s teams.
Compiled findings from staff assessments, SWOT analysis, and strategy sessions into a comprehensive report with final recommendations and actionable steps.
