The Diatribe

Project: The 49507 Project & The Emory

Service: Project Management

The 49507 Project is an intentional public art installation with the goal of changing the narrative of the neighborhoods within the 49507 zip code in Grand Rapids, MI. The project hired Black and Brown artists to install murals on Black and Brown owned businesses all across the varying neighborhoods. The project has funded and installed 15 murals in the last 2 years. The 49507 project is multi faceted to include adult and student listening sessions, education on redlining in the specific areas where the murals are placed, and support for the small business owners

Key Deliverables
