Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta

Project: Latinx Alliance

Service: Project Management

The Latinx Alliance, funded by the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, is committed to addressing the unique needs of the Latinx community across Georgia. With a membership of over 200 Latinx leaders, the Alliance fosters collaboration and advocacy to drive meaningful change and create growth opportunities for Latinos in Georgia.

Khamai Strategies provided project management services to help the Alliance execute key initiatives. Our contributions included managing workgroups and initiatives, streamlining workflows, overseeing the (wrote the RFP) RFP process and interviews for a Branding Consultant, and establishing communication measures to keep members aligned and informed.

Key Deliverables

  • Quarterly Retreat Planning: Organized and facilitated two retreats in different Georgia cities, creating intentional spaces for networking and collaboration. These retreats aimed to understand local Latinx community needs and explore how Alliance members could leverage their resources to provide support. We also identified host sites integral to the Latinx community in each city to foster deeper connections.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Managed communications to ensure consistent stakeholder input and engagement throughout the project.

  • Timeline and Progress Tracking: Ensured that all project milestones were met efficiently by overseeing timelines and tracking progress.

I've worked in marketing and design for 18+ years, and even met my wife (also a graphic designer) while working at an ad agency. She is my balance. We now have two young children and are finally learning the value of sleep.
