The Emory (The Diatribe)

Project: The Emory

Service: Project Management

This project focuses on managing the development of The Diatribe’s new $10 million headquarters. The building will include 8 income-based rental units for creatives, 4 commercial property spaces for small businesses, and a performance/event venue. The project is aimed at revitalizing the neighborhood and creating a hub for creativity, community engagement, and economic growth.

Key Deliverables

  • Capital Campaign Management: Oversaw the capital campaign to secure funding for the project, working closely with the capital campaign cabinet members and co-chairs to meet financial goals.

  • Project Team Management: Managed collaboration across multiple teams, including the construction company, the owner’s representative, capital campaign consultants, and The Diatribe team, ensuring everyone stayed on track and aligned with project goals. Coordinated timelines and deliverables while fostering collaboration to keep the project moving forward.

  • Neighborhood Revitalization: Led efforts to revitalize the surrounding neighborhood by ensuring the project benefits both residents and local businesses.

  • Community Listening Sessions: Facilitated listening sessions to gather community feedback and ensure that the project meets the needs of the local residents, particularly creatives and small business owners.

  • Project Oversight: Monitored all aspects of the project, from the development of rental units and commercial spaces to the creation of the performance venue, ensuring alignment with the community’s needs and the organization’s mission.
